In my rush to live
I flew to the door
But soon hit the floor.
Everyone rush,
Rush they often say,
From this thing to that-
No clue where we’re at
Because we got lost
Along the fast lane,
Missing our exits
One after the next
And here we are now
Without a way back.
Thank the high leaders-
The ones on TV,
The ones on TikTok
Who pushed us so hard
That Dwayne Johnson seems
A bit amateur
By comparison.
Changed reality
Before anyone
Was really ready.
So much input that
We lost our exit
And now we’re just here.
Check the sacred timeline-
One article after another,
All different topics,
All different battles.
Three news articles say outrage.
Three news articles say calm.
Here’s where you need to travel.
Here’s what you need to eat.
Here’s what you need to do.
Here’s what you need to think.
The exit-miles back
And there’s no stopping,
Foot slammed on metal,
The speedometer
To the breaking point,
Not concerned with the
Scenery around,
Just focused on the
Next thing I’m told to do.
