When Slow Means More

By Andrew R. Duckworth

“A hasty person misses the sweet things.”

Swahili Proverb
Two were on a boat,
And the boat was slow,
So one man was wise
And enjoyed nature
Surrounding all sides.
The other was quick
To rush the rower,
To ask the question
“When will we get there?”
But the wise man knew
That from his own view
Half of the trip was
Taking in the world
At an easy pace.
