A million and one obstacles,
Mostly of the mind,
Many that have one
Looking behind
And swimming in anxious waters
Like a drowning child
Of little skill,
Thrown to the restless waves until
One takes the first step
Into the shallow waters,
Looking on at the deep
And the dangers they keep.
But across the waters is a frontier
That one will miss by staying here.
