I’m amazed by the massive arches
In the rock formations,
Like a giant’s punch to the stone.
Erosion built them somehow,
But my mind runs with alternatives.
Perhaps massive snakes slithered
Through, creating the initial holes,
Long before they put on
The skin of men
And became politicians.
Perhaps God wanted something for us
To ponder over, along with the
Endless sky and it’s mysteries
And the majestic desert kingdom.
