Those with Power

Clouded by the fear of failure,
Restricting what they can,
It is little wonder that the
Men in high castles want
Inmates of the innocent,
Not caring about any but self
And their nonsensical
Lost causes.

Let stories of the past remind
Every patient listening ear
About what happens when the 
Dictator takes power over
Everyone and everything.
Remnants of an ancient evil
Slither into the palaces,
Heaping hardships upon the people
In their blindness,
Pleasing only those with power.
