“Fools give full vent to their rage, but the wise bring calm in the end.”
Proverbs 29:11 NIV
Many times I am the fool. Only on occasion am I wise, Because some thing that I despise Has roosted in my mind. Many times I am the fool, Unable to keep my cool Because hell’s infernal pool Comes catching by surprise. I know the world. It’s full of lies And, by now, I should be wise And calm my heart before it flies. Yet, too often, I’m the fool And can’t keep calm enough to cool An unjust rage my heart has waged, Not keeping eyes upon the prize.
