New Day

By Andrew R. Duckworth

Sweet civil twilight
Parading heavens glow
With the sound of songs
Carried by a new day breeze
Through the golden plains
Leading to gentle streams
Carrying new day gleams
From the newborn horizon.
And off go the busy birds
From sparse small trees,
Aiming their direction
Towards One who breathes
The world’s existence.
With each word, a new moment-
A new day ripe with adventure.
