By Andrew R. Duckworth
The moon eats the sun
And oh what fun,
But I refuse to believe
That I’m the only one
Who sees other shadows
Creeping amid the light.
What was once done
In the dark of night
Is now performed
When the day is bright.
A house divided cannot stand
And I see the blood-soaked hands
Conducting dark deeds
While directing the band.
Snap awake, for Heaven’s sake!
They’ll continue to find
What they can take,
Both having and eating
The stolen cake.
The moon eats the sun
And oh what fun
Until you finally see
The damage done.
