Erasure

I’ll never part with pen and ink.
Once put down on the page,
It’s there. At best, it must be
Blacked out, scribbled over
Into oblivion.
But the evidence remains
That something once existed.
If only one could see the pages
That I edit, they would know.
Edit- it’s both good and bad.
In good faith- more clarity,
In bad faith……………………………

……………………………………………………………
……………………………………………………………
And it could be there forever.
