Though You Stand Alone

By Andrew R. Duckworth

Mountain in the distance,
Standing alone, I hear you.
I see your stand,
Your courage amid the chaos
Of plainness and silence,
Amid the monstrosity of monotony,
Your resolve of stone,
Unbreakable and valiant.
Though you stand alone,
I notice and I’m watching.
The hill is lukewarm,
Only standing until noticed,
But you capture attention
And stand firm, motionless,
Standing tall in a world
That prefers the towers of man.
