What Time Does

By Andrew R. Duckworth

Time seems to move faster now,
And we all know what time does-
Demolishes cradles, crafts beds,
Feeds off our youthful energy,
Leaves us with spots of gray,
Leaves us with a final day
Hanging on to final threads.
Time seems to move faster
Now that I’m a little older,
Each day a minute shorter,
Time keeping little order-
Or maybe I’m the fool
That can’t keep up.
