It’s a simple but complex thing,
Isn’t it? Words on a page, write
It all down, surrender your
Thoughts to be seen. But it’s
Never that easy. You have to be
Willing, ready for the feedback.
Nothing prepares you for the
Silence, no reply email, as if
It was never done, as if your
Words never existed, as if they
Weren’t worth replying to,
As if the invisible soul behind
A keyboard gave a swift glance,
But an even swifter pass.
