What alternative career paths have you considered or are interested in?

In a different yet less fulfilling
Life, I’m sitting at a desk,
A satirist and cartoonist,
Doodling harshness on paper.
I imagine that room is dark
And I’m probably lonely,
What little energy I have
Poured out into work,
Worshipping at the feet
Of employment and still
Struggling, ignoring calls
From friends, making no new ones,
Just wasting away over creation
As if my own god.
There is a reason that different
Life never materialized. I don’t
Entertain alternatives, having
Found peace elsewhere.
