Advice from Those who Know

By Andrew R. Duckworth

Photo and editing by Andrew R. Duckworth (taken in some museum I can’t remember the name of)
When life gets rough and time, it moves so slow,
I can’t think of better advice to share,
You need to take advice from those who know.

Like the neighbor down the street whose words flow
Because he’s seen a thing or two and cares
When life gets rough and time, it moves so slow.

Listen close to words that he doesn’t owe
But has been around the block and was there.
You need to take advice from those who know.

He’ll talk about the hard old days that show
On all his wrinkles, but has words to spare
When life gets rough and time, it moves so slow.

He’ll also cheer you up with words that glow
And tell you when you’re down in deep despair
You need to take advice from those who know.

And when you take those words that start to grow
You’ll find a better place and be aware,
When life gets rough and time, it moves so slow.
You need to take advice from those who know.
