Dissolving Time

Like butter slowly melting in a hot pan,
Months fly off the calendar,
Getting thinner,
Shrinking fast.
Days pass
Fast
And,
Like lightning,
They’re gone in a flash,
Unless they leave scars upon the land,
In which they’re carried for the days to come.
