Good Intentions

Fled straight from the mouth of Hell
And into humanity’s idea well.
Good intentions, and they are plenty,
Pulling on the hearts of the many.
We often have the best intentions,
The marriage of mind and heart conventions,
But rarely do we contemplate
The bulldozing through reasoning’s gate
To offer our best among the rest,
When we should pause and calmly wait.
