Elevated enough to see
The Fort Worth skyline,
Gray and shrouded in fog.
And between the few towers
Rising off in the distance,
A vast ocean of green,
Peppered in trees,
Fully engulfed in leaves.
The spring rains have been good
For more than just my tomato plants.
I wonder if any other city
Has a view like this in spring.
The rains make clean
For the green against gray.
