By Andrew R. Duckworth

I intruded first, but was invited in
By the majestic surrounding,
A guest at the dinner table
Of nature.
It breathed to speak
And the breath enveloped me,
Expanding the mind to a new place.
It offered wine and I drank,
Drinking in the rush of stream
From top to bottom.
It crowned me with clouds
And I was at peace with the hum
Of wind whispering from the wild
To an imaginative child.
Great!
