All The Vibes (a sonnet)

By Andrew R. Duckworth

Today, I paid for my meals with the vibes,
Reached in my pocket and pulled them right out,
In their glittery joyous majesty
And the event was so extravagant
The servers delivered the food with glee
And told me that my meal was on the house.
As for the tip, they said not to worry
Because the vibes were just so good for them.
I checked my vibe account. It’s doing swell,
So many of the vibes, no worries here.
I’m just kidding, that never once happened
Because I live in the same world you do
Where vibes are not a currency we use
And joy will not pay for necessities.
