The heat death of the universe,
Caused by us, of course,
As we use all energy
To fuel our anger,
Our outrage,
Our hatred.
As it expands,
Things die off.
We’ll be floating
Cold and alone in the dark,
And we’ll pretend to enjoy
The journey to nothingness
Because that is who
We have become-
Hearts encased in ice,
Never thinking twice.
