In an Alternate Universe

Describe your life in an alternate universe.

In an alternate universe,
Perhaps I am more secure.
Maybe I am more certain
In matters of faith,
No longer wrestling
With the divine,
But sure enough
In my relationship
With Truth and my God.
I am content in those
In an alternate universe
Where worry does not cloud
My fragile, breaking mind.
The pieces were never broken,
Never shattered at a headstone-
Never shaking body and bone-
Always aware of God’s holy throne,
Never competing against Judas
For title of betrayer.
In an alternate universe,
I am free of what rots the mind-
Needing less reflection to find
The thing that makes me,
Not being tempted by what breaks.
Alas, here we are,
In this imperfect world.

Rarely do I actually answer the prompt that comes up. But this one, I have to admit, has occupied my mind for some time now. What would my life be in an alternate universe? I can only hope better in some respects.
