Rambunctious power…
May it never come to me in any hour
In wake or sleep, good day or bad,
When overjoyed or deeply sad,
I shall reject such tempting proposition
Given from some son of perdition.
I shall keep a close watch on the rule
That comes with those wicked fools
Who mandate from their silver chairs
When not on their tall pedestal.
But I shall not drink from that well.
Better to serve in Heaven than reign in Hell.
