Coast to coast AM - Art Bell
On long car rides at night-
The craziest stories.
Dad would turn the volume up-
One night it’s Bigfoot,
The next it’s aliens
And it was the best time.

Conspiracy theories have moved on
To conspiracy fact and now we
Look for other distracting means,
Things that take us away
From the world of strange.
The world is a Coast to Coast
Episode packed with it.

Dad was a fan of Coast to Coast AM with Art Bell. We would listen to it on our way back from who knows where on longer drives at night. The people who called in had the strangest stories, and dad was convinced at one point that Art was calling in to his own show to create some of the scenarios based on how strange they were. whether that was the case or not, Dad loved it. It was strange but it was interesting.

Occasionally, I still like to listen to a podcasts that feature conspiracy theories, etc. I find it fascinating. But I’ve also seen enough of the world to realize that we really don’t need the conspiracy theory anymore. It’s all so strange and right out in the open. Why make up stories anymore?
