What Politic?

By Andrew R. Duckworth

Where is home in a land
Where home is scattered,
As disconnected as mismatched
Puzzle pieces on the table?
In the fields, no one
Speaks the same language
But they hold some understanding,
Draw lines not to cross.
I have gone to several houses
But found little comfort.
Somehow, one must build their own
With their own resources
To tell stories on walls
That reflect their journey,
A little from here and there.
